Are you excited?
I know I am.
I am looking forward to have you in The BREAKTHROUGH workshop on January 13 and in order to make sure you get the maximum out of our 4 hours together… you better come prepared…
How to prepare?
In order to make sure I can give you everything you need to know in this 4-hour workshop, you will need to complete the following preparation assignment.
This is a mandatory requirement, and if you won’t complete it BEFORE the workshop, unfortunately – you will NOT be able to participate.
So, please, take it seriously.
To do
- Let me know in the comment box below – one important goal you want to achieve in 2023.
(e.g. write a book, get your weight to xx kg, improve your health, run a marathon, improve your relationship with xx, have an income of xx euros…)
This should be a goal that will require you to break through something in order to make it happen (e.g. fears, resistance, sabotaging habits, negative beliefs…) - Let me know in the comment box below – why haven’t you achieved it so far.
Please be honest, get detailed.
Don’t just stay on the surface (e.g. lack of motivation, lack of knowledge, procrastination, etc…)
Really explore the reason(s) and excuse(s). - Let me know in the comment box below – what is different this time?
Why are you committed to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal this year?
Again – be honest and detailed. Don’t stay on the surface.
Come up with a compelling why – which inspires and motivates you. - Let me know in the comment box below everything that might still stop you from achieving this goal in 2023…
- For each one of the points you wrote in the last question – come up with a plan – what will you do to keep staying in line.
Share those plans in the comment box. - Let me know in the comment box below – how are you going to celebrate it – when you’ve achieved this goal?
Make it big. Make it important. Make sure you’re actually going to do it. - Make a list of 3 life lessons you learned in your life (e.g. ‘Money will never solve your real problems’, ‘You can’t please everyone’, ‘Your comfort zone is your enemy’…) and create 3 gifts using those life lessons.
For example write each lessons on a pebble, or on a tree bark, or on a beautiful card…)
Then… pack each gift nicely with care and love.
Do NOT put your name, phone number or any way for someone to know who is this gift from.
Bring with you to the workshop
- A printout of your preparation assignment.
You will need it to work out your strategic breakthrough plan. - 25-30 business cards with a space to write in the back.
Without those you won’t be able to participate in part of the workshop.
If you don’t have “official” business cards, then create small paper cards with your full name, phone number and email address on one side, and the other side leave empty. - The 3 packed gifts (your life lessons).
Do NOT forget them… you won’t be able to participate in a part of the workshop without them.
IMPORTANT!
To complete this assignment you should reserve a couple of hours – so don’t postpone doing it to the last minute.
Make sure to post your answers to questions 1 to 6 in the comment box at the bottom of this page by midnight on Wednesday, January 11th.
If not, you will NOT be able to participate in the workshop.
So don’t procrastinate… start today!
Make sure you bring EVERYTHING in the “to bring” list above to the workshop on Friday, January 13th.
Without them you won’t be able to participate in essential parts of the workshop..
Top Commenters – last 30 Days
I’m very excited and looking forward to meeting you in the workshop.
Live fully, stay awesome,
Nisandeh

6. THIS IS HOW I AM GOING TO CELEBRATE IT WHEN I'VE ACHIEVED MY GOAL
I would love to celebrate my goal in 3 different ways.
1) I am going to invite my family for a week-end at my landhouse. Together we are going to pick-nick in the garden, go subboarding on the lake, discover the house and garden and all its surprises and facilities. And we are going to love the space and possibilities the house and garden offers to us.
2) After my family week-end I am going to invite the neighbours over for a neighbour giving in the town in order to get to know each other.
3) Eventually I am going to buy the deckchair which I have always wanted. I am going to place it at the lake with a pillow and planket in it. Then I am going to place a wooden table next to it. Place my favorite book, sunglasses and a gloass of an alcohol-free mojito with ice cubs, a slice of lime and a sustainable straw in it. Then I am going to sit myself on the chair. Close my eyes. Listen to the sound of the water and the birds. Smell the grass, threes and flowers and disappear into a soothing state of mindfullness, fulfillment and thankfulness knowing I am realizing my life's mission.

By achieving this goal this year, I honor my life's mission. And ensure that no dreams will stand next to my bed when time comes, asking me why I did not create them, when they where given to me, knowing I had the capacity and skills to make them come true.

1. Sell my training Hechting in de Praktijk course to Gemeenten or other organization for € 50.000.
2. Because I did not believe I could achieve this. I did not have the right contacts. I did not have the courage to ask for this. I did not have the accreditation for the training. I did not have the right online training system for my trainings. Biggest reason is that I was not mentally in a good place to be ready to go for this. Now that I have given this training for a couple of years, I had the time to fine tune it and feel a lot more comfortable than last year.
3. I have changed my target audience from parents to professionals. I feel I have grown in the last months. I went to Egypt with Hugo Bakker for a week, and a week long I have contemplated about my business and many things became clear to me.
- I am going to simplify my live even more
- I am going to let go of a few of my team members
- I am going to shift to a different target audience
- I am going to work a lot less hours a day
- I am going to take better care of myself mentally, physically and spiritually
But I am also ready to sell different products. Of course, I still have my mission and passion, but I am ready to make big money now. Before I found it hard to ask 1000 or 10.000. Now this is no problem for me and my team. So the next step we want to make is to € 30.000 / € 50.000,- . And with the new target audience this is very doable.
4. Lack of focus, procrastination, shit happening in my life, things happening with my daughter, my team leaving me….
5. Lack of focus: agenda in block, start my day early so it is quiet, exercise daily
Procrastination: Keep my office and house clean so I don’t get distracted, tell my office manager to give me daily things to do and taking care of my agenda so I don’t get overwhelmed.
Shit happening: dealing with it
My team leaving: Don’t think it will happen. My VA and I talk every day, and we always talk things through, also the difficult things, from the start we did this. We are a good team. Other members I just stared working with, and they are amazing, so I don’t expect things happening in the near future.
6. I never know what to do with questions like this. I will take my VA out for dinner or something else nice to do. But we do this anyway already. And I always try to think of stuff to organize of buy for her to show her my gratitude. I do this not only with my team and VA but also with friend and my kids.
7. - Geld is liefde - I am loved - my business will grow when I will grow/heal -

1 Goal: coaching trip for women entrepreneurs in the upper segment, organized in Bavaria. Planned for 2024 and sales phase started in 2023.
2 Why I'm not yet succeeded so far. Our business has not started yet; it will start/be certificated in february/march 2023. Other obstacles are: I don't consider myself good enough to market this. Furthermore, I am afraid that others do not think it is good enough. In summary: fear of failure, insecurity and shyness.
3 What is different in 2023? I really want it! I would like to help others.
4. What might stop me in 2023? My shyness, my fear that others won't like it. Not finding myself good enough.
5. How I stay in line. Say affirmations out loud every day and meditating.
6. How I am going to celebrate it: I am organizing a new week with a new coaching trip.

1. Important goal in 2023
Working in and on my business for myself and not contributing to the profit of somebody else. Igniting my passion again by doing so.
2. Why haven’t I achieved it so far.
The current situation is that I sell my knowledge and expertise on a mainly “uurtje factuurtje” basis. Other companies grow and flourish because of this. My passion has turned into a lack of energy and unwillingness to start work in the morning. Why haven’t I achieved it: Conditioning thinking that it’s better to earn some money than to gamble and work on a big project and earn nothing. The fear of failing and in the end having to ask for money from my friends and family because I won’t be able to pay the bills.
3. What is different this time / why?
Why: Personal life is negatively affected. I can no longer continue like this because the lack of energy and not being able to start in the morning reflects not only on work life but also on my personal life making me miss out on seeing my friends and family. After having opened up about this to friends and family the love and support is amazing. I also have great likeminded friends to use as an accountability partner.
What is different this time: I have created a safety buffer with regards to money, likeminded friends and an accountability partner.
4. What might still stop me from achieving my goal in 2023.
Health issues and having even less energy than I already have.
Outside stress
5. A plan to stay in line
Health issues: work with a personal trainer to stay ahead of any health issues and increase energy.
Outside stress: meditation and being honest towards myself when I am in a situation or environment that does not suit me and bring me stress and/or low energy. Leave the situation.
6. How am I going to celebrate
Give a big garden party with lots of Champagne with all my friends and family.

**Let me know in the comment box below – one important goal you want to achieve in 2023.**
Be part of a good circle of friends, all on the spiritual path.
**Let me know in the comment box below – why haven’t you achieved it so far.**
- Having thought before that I could do it all alone
- Growing so fast that I'm outgrowing previous friend-circles
- Missing out on the 3-year program that I was supposed to attend
- The fear that arises when someone gets really close
- Being very good at doing things alone and feeling happy and content, alone
- Being too busy with other things in life
**Let me know in the comment box below – what is different this time?**
I've intentionally spent a longer period by myself last year. Lived through all blockages and fears, experienced ups and downs and felt fulfilled and enlightend at times, just by myself, in nature. It's good to know that is possible, serves as a firm fundament.
But now, this chapter has come to an end. Some events occurred that make me value the connection to others way more than I did before.
It's the next step in this life's journey.
**Why are you committed to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal this year?**
I see it as an essential part of my growth and that of others to connect more.
An essential part to live my full potential.
**Let me know in the comment box below everything that might still stop you from achieving this goal in 2023…**
1. Going about like I have always done, not being aware of patterns that block achieving this goal.
2. Not actively being open for new connections
3. Not remembering the WHY
** For each one of the points you wrote in the last question – come up with a plan – what will you do to keep staying in line **
1. I have scheduled some months off from apr - aug, so there's plenty of opportunity to be in the unknown and outside of my regular habbits.
2. I've started going to conscious dance events and dance classes to meet new people / I'll be travelling to friends and unknown destinations with my campervan apr-aug. / I've connected to a buddy for the Clarity Process, the spiritual method I'm working with / I've planned a retreat with a group in april
3. Elaborate on the why, print it out and stick it to the wall
** Let me know in the comment box below – how are you going to celebrate it – when you’ve achieved this goal?**
Have a three week holiday to a tropical place.

1. important goal I want to achieve this year
- Lose weight to 83 kg
- Sales goal of 97000 euros with my company Fodmap Foodies
2. Why haven't I achieved it yet?
- In terms of weight: I'm not strict enough with myself. I'm too easy. I ′′ like ′′ too much of myself.
- In terms of turnover: I haven't had the opportunities and time to achieve this yet. And I couldn't even imagine before that it would be possible. I didn't believe it either. I also postponed certain actions.
3. Why is it different this time?
- In terms of weight: if I really go back to my real weight that suits me, I will look better. And I can also take my process outside and to my potential customers. This is going to help me help more customers who want this too.
- In terms of turnover. I sold 1 business last year, which gives me more time and more focus to achieve this goal. In addition, I have decided to focus much more on my real ideal customers who have more money to spend and want to be trained by me than the customers who find every euro too much. And in addition, because of the WOMB , I decided to start a six-month program and I also started with that. And I want to do this again in 2024. And... I'm going to organize live days again that I used to postpone.
4. What could stop me from achieving this goal in 2023
- In terms of weight: still give in to myself. Still something 'tasty' to eat when I'm tired. Or because I just like it. Or because I don't have a clear plan. Or no clear structure.
- In terms of business: not 'daring' to give live days. Don't go for a new six-month program at the end of 2023. I've come up with a package and if I don't let this know that I have it and don't offer it, then no money will come in for this part. And if I don't send emails, don't post, don't do anything at all about the training courses and other offers I have, the turnover will be much lower, so I will certainly not reach my goal. Furthermore, I do depend on the number of participants. And I will have to think about whether there are other ways to scale up my turnover. What can also hold me back is my mindset. So don't believe it is feasible. Not planning and doing what I have in mind anyway. No clear schedule. And not perform all the actions I came up with.
5. Plan
- In terms of weight: Every week write down what I want to achieve. Pronouncing it. Set intentions. Manifest / visualize. Making sure that I always have 'healthy' food in my house that is ready for grabs.
-Qu business:
- Schedule live days and have them recorded at the location I have in mind. Prepare a registration form in advance so that interested parties can sign up and pay.
- Write my goals and actions on a whiteboard. And in time, around September, apply for quality points for 2024. Then in October I will already be promoted. This ensures that I can already get participants and I cannot postpone the process.
- Think more about what I'm going to email, post and unsubscribe. So what am I going to offer? What am I going to write? When am I going to publish it?
- Being more involved in working on my company. This way I come up with more ideas myself to get more participants for, for example, the packages I will be offering, for the Mastermind sessions, and for the six-month program. (Thinking and writing time - idea generator)
- Working on my mindset.
- Make clearer planning.
6. How will I celebrate?
- In terms of weight: definitely a day at wellness with sauna and hotel stay
- In terms of business: Then I will spoil my husband (because he also does a lot for my business) by secretly taking him to a delicious exclusive restaurant and a fantastic hotel in a special city.
7. What have I learned in my life?
- Believe in yourself. Listen to yourself. If you have the idea that something is right or that something works, go for it.
- The biggest struggles and events in your life can be a lesson that can put you on the right path and help others in turn.
- In the end, it's about having a good time. "Don't worry be happy".

1. 0ne important goal you want to achieve in 2023.
At the end of 2023 I have reached the following goal:
40 new ideal clients in my massage/coaching/training practice, who pay me for a series of sessions and workshops a total amount of 72.000 euro (1.800 euro each) in 2023. My ideal clients are (overworked) working parents with children and familylife who struggle with day planning, lack of sleep, stress, lack of me time, lack of focus, no time yet to reach personal goals.
2. Let me know in the comment box below – why haven’t you achieved it so far.
I do to much on my own. I forget to ask help and are not working together enough with other busiens owners. I have a deep fear of failure (a sabotage mechanism), next tot hat I have a fear of loosing control. That makes it hard to create a full grown business. I am a controller (not a promotor or analyzer). Not knowing what my income will be next year is a big challenge for me. That is why I work parttime as a payed trainer/coach for
the city of Amsterdam (28 hours a week). This job is great for me in the sense of growing as a trainer/coach, since I work with stressed people from all over the world who have no job at that moment, from highly educated till almost not educated. I help and motivate those people to reach their work goals.
3. Let me know in the comment box below – what is different this time?
As a person and in the WOMB program I have grown and have learned that I do to much on my own, not asking for help and not working together enough, and have learned to do this . I also am able to focus more and set realistic reachable goals per week, day, month. Quarter and year. The parttime trainerjob I have gives me selfconfidence and a change to grow my skills as trainer/coach. I feel I can have a breakthrough year in 2023, IF I connect wth like minded people and continue to share with buddies.
4. Come up with a compelling why – which inspires and motivates you.
Who I want to help: Managers and professionals facing surmenage and burnout .
first WHY? I belief that it is possible to keep managers and professionals more healthy and vital and prevent surmenage and burn out. I belief that it is possible to change people s stresscoping strategies and the copingstrategies in the organizations. I belief that it is possible to create vital and safe working environments for people. And I belief that companies are mostly helped by investing in vital and safe working-teams, because I belief that a lot of money can be saved, money that is now being spend on illness days and sickness. And I belief that if companies act on this that a lot of pain and stress professionals go through can be prevented.
My second WHY : why am I qualified? I have been working 30 years in organizations and companies and did that in all sorts of working environments and teams. In poisonous environments I have seen a lot of professionals getting burned out. As a result, the organizations have to pay the illness days, the replacing and the sick personnel at home who were at even greater healthrisk. I have experienced burned out myself when I was a projectmanager and I have learned a lot from that situation. It even motivated me to get educated and certificated in stressreleasemethods and tools like communication-techniques, Non violent communication, feedback, counseling, mindfullness, massage techniques, psycho-fysical integration methods like Trager approach, breathingtechniques, maintenacce of a healthy vital teams, intervisionmethods for teams, training- and coaching techniques. And this all has resulted in my proven personal method and toolkit to prevent burn out in teams.
– Answer the WHERE question – WHERE will I take you as a client?
My mission is: creating healthy and vital workteams in companies and organisations, meaning that managers in such a company will work with healthy and vital teams, where open communication and feeling safe at the working place is the standard and where teammanagers and professionals love to work because of the good atmosphere and the fact that there is company money available that can be put in their personal education and growth and vitality at work and also in daily balance at work and at home. Because there is a very low sicknessrate. And if you are a burned out teammanager or professional in such a company, you will get help in getting healthy and vital again, knowing who you are, what you need to keep your balance and what you can do and what you want and need in work.
5. Let me know in the comment box below everything that might still stop you from achieving this goal in 2023…
My family, who need me, people who are sick and need me sometimes, comfortzone, lack of energy in me. Not doing sports enough, not connecting enough with like minded people. Schedule needed actions and buddytalks. Procrastination.
6. For each one of the points you wrote in the last question – come up with a plan – what will you do to keep staying in line.
What really helps is buddies, taking committed actions they know about. Working together with them on realistic plans and steps forward to reach my year goals.
I will share my yearplan with my buddies and partners. Plan weekends free is also important form y energy.
7. Let me know in the comment box below – how are you going to celebrate it – when you’ve achieved this goal?
I wil organize A BIG PARTY at a lake nearby with my ideal clients, friends, buddies, business partners, family, with nice food, drinks, dancing and a interactive funworkshop that inspires everybody to enjoy life.
8. Make a list of 3 life lessons you learned in your life
I have packed 3 life lessons and wil bring them with me , will bring print out and business cards.

1. One important goal:
Two interlinked goals
a)- go on holidays. or have a 'system' of holidays, time off and time to think
b)- daily routine
2. Why not achieved:
a) -having the idea I must be available
- thinking in shortage instead of abundance
-thinking: I will do it later, or… if I reach that, then I can…
- thinking I am not worth it (yet)
- thinking or instead of and
- simply not planning it (and not sticking to it)
-the idea I need to get going
b) -In the end: lack of discipline- forgetting the long term effects
-And forgetting the instant effects (not getting up)
- that one day.. that messes u the rhytm/ getting up too late.
3. What is different this time
a) I m over it- I want to and need to
the insight it is not a luxury
having a partner
having (enough) financial stability
b)- I found out that it is more and more a necessity.
- New courage
4. Everything that might still stop me from achieving it
a)- not planning
- waiting for/on others
-Not sticking to to the idea
- sudden financial decline
b) - lack of discipline- forgetting the long term effects
- And forgetting the instant effects (not getting up)
5. for each point a plan:
a) -to plan my think time- system for next half year. (involve henny/ others when necessary):
-daily: WOMB , weekly a morning to think and work on stuff, midday private stuff. Monthly a ‘brainstorm’ day, quarterly/ half yearly week to set goals and evaluate.
-On a day itself: do the difficult stuff first. Tomato rule.
-Book a holiday(s) and trips/ weekends or reserve the time together with my partner for the next 9 months.
b) Make it a challenge, after 2 weeks: present, 1 month, 2 month, 3 month, 4,5 mont, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year. 1 day messing up: is start over. (to link my lego purchases to it)
6. how to celebrate
- I’ll come to these ‘presents’ later.
-The holiday is a celebration itself.
-But the planning it in my agenda and do the preliminary stuff (and first 2 weeks of daily routine): allow myself to buy the new modular building.

and addition
5) plan what to do the day before in y schedule (with the estimated necessary time)

1. The important goal I want to achieve in 2023.
Get my weight down to 90 kilograms before the 1st of August 2023
2. Why I haven't achieved this?
I started with a weight loss program in September 2021 and managed to lose 20 kilograms in a period of 9 months. I achieved this by eating healthier, stopped drinking alcohol and eating snacks in the evening hour. In January 2022 I got a dog for companionship and to get out more, started working with a personal trainer and generally exercised more. I got a Covid infection in July from which I still feel the aftermath, my relationship ended, and I fully submerged in work, sitting behind my computer from early morning to late evening, only pausing to walk the dog. When I'm stressed or unhappy, I also suffer from sleep apnea as a result of the Covid infection. Lack of sleep and the tendency to "reward" myself with snacks when I feel I have "deserved" it, resulted in 10 kilograms gain in 5 months.
3. What is different this time?
I met a new partner with whom I'm madly in love (even though I have been marries for 25 years before, I've never felt anything like this unconditional love before). Even though she completely accepts me with all my flaws and overweight body, I am sick and tired of my fat belly and related health issues like high blood pressure. I want to grow old with her and I am convinced that if I continue on the comfort eating path, our time together will be shorter than it can be.
4. What could stop me from achieving this goal in 2023?
This motivation to lose weight is mine alone. My partner likes me just the way I am. We both like good food and a good glass of wine. It would be easy to again give in to cravings, telling myself I've earned it.
5. What is my plan to stay in line?
I will not buy unhealthy food anymore, but I will not be overly strict anymore. I will allow myself a somewhat unhealthy snack and a glass of wine once a week to celebrate that I've made it through the week healthy. I've signed up for a gym together with my partner. We are going twice a week. I've promised her that when I reach my goal, we are going on a vacation to Iceland, which is something she's really wanted to do for a long time. This way, I'm trying to make my weight loss a mutual goal.
6. How am I going to celebrate it?
Going to see the aurora borealis.
7. My 3 life lessons
My most important life lesson comes from the quote: "Give me the strength to change what I can change, the serenity to accept what I cannot change and the wisdom to see the difference." Whenever I tend to get worked up about things I can't change, this quote helps me to put things back into perspective.
Another important life lesson for me is to stop worrying about what happened in the past. Instead of fretting over what went wrong or what you could have done different, learn from it and congratulate yourself that you won't be making the same mistake in the future. And finally, but maybe the most important but also the most difficult one: love and give unconditionally. The rewards are immense.

1. One important goal is to have a better work-private balance with meaningful accomplishments on both sides.
2. Why it did not work out:
- My work set of responsibilities are high (or I perceive them as to high);
- Tend to prioritize work above cooking, spending time with friends, spouse, kids and hobby (to little);
- I procrastinate a lot;
- I have fear of missing out;
- A little of fear of being jobless, without a partner, without money and fear people do not like me.
- Have difficulty to make decisions (wait to the last moment and think, hope and it often does goes well);
- Do not set the right time to maintenance of finance, house and relationships.
3. Reaching 60 and want to enjoy life and meaningful accomplishments as much as possible.
- Want to make most of my time;
- Want to make others happy with being me;
- Doing something new and see it happen inspires and motivates me but fears above resist me.
4. What might stop creating a good work-life balance is:
A. Losing work / income;
B. Losing out on relationships;
C. Disappointing others;
E. Losing money necessary for my old days;
5. Plans:
• 4A: Having a set of clients and a product/market that will be around for the next 10 years;
• 4B: Spend more time with these relationships planning moments and events;
• 4C: Do my best for yes and say no if I cannot satisfy;
• 4D: Stop making risky investment and store away ‘money’ out of easy reach;
• 4D: Get and good overview of my financial situation.
6. Celebrate will be a big party (drinks and BBQ?) in new environment with the reason of just the accomplishments.
7. Life lessons you learned in your life:
- Good friends are fiends forever, but many others will listen and help you out;
- If you are willing to work you will always find work;
- I can find happy things to do even without depths and enough money (but it gives stress during the other times).

1. Goal in 2023:
To become visible on LinkedIn through posts and videos, to build a name with my way of doing employee research, and thereby organically attract customers that suit me.
2. Reasons for not having achieved so far:
Many reasons, but the main one is that I don't dare. I'm afraid of getting comments, that I don't have enough to say, I'm not sure what I should post every time, that I'm not distinctive enough, that I don't have enough knowledge to predominate just like that.
3. Different this time:
If I want to take myself seriously as an entrepreneur, and I do, promoting yourself is part of it. I also think LinkedIn is good for your brand awareness. I hear from other entrepreneurs that LinkedIn works well for them in attracting customers. I also notice that if I see a post from an entrepreneur passing by a number of times, I take such an entrepreneur more seriously. Finally, it is important for my personal development and my entrepreneurship that I dare to make myself more visible, which is why I want to achieve that this year.
4. Everything that might still stop me:
- I don't get around to posting on LinkedIn if I'm too busy with current assignments, the course I follow, deadlines for clients/bookkeeping or other obligations.
- I am also often tired, which means that I fall behind with work and then there is no time at all for extra things.
5. Plans to avoid not achieving:
- For the actions that want to do: i’s all the same plan: I have to choose regular moments in the week, month or year for recurring work. Some hours every week for bookkeeping. One day in the month for LinkedIn posts, videos and blogs.
And of utmost importance: always stick to the plan, and just that is terrible difficult for me. The reason is that I can never stop doing what I am doing. I think that’s the real problem. Another problem is a lack in inspiration when I have to have it.
- For the fatigue it is good if I don't plan my days too full, so that I can pick myself up during the day.
->There might be a contracdiction between the two.
6. Celebration:
I really achieved this goal, if by doing this, it twill bring me a new client. If so, I will expand 10% of its turnover to do something nice with my husband (depending on the amount of the turnover: diner or a weekend-away).

Goal 2023:
1. Generate 100K+ income:
- Repay 120K loan (become owner/financer of my own stock/inventory)
- Growth/liquidity solely self-financed (50% buffered/reinvested within company)
2. Become technically multi-skilled on off-grid (all-electric) solutions:
- Solar + battery/storage + smart home + smart monitoring/usage of electricity
- Hot water generation + storage + supply
- Back-up systems/resilience
- Total renovation
3. Become well-organized + well-presented:
- Document vision + portfolio + expert position (built video + book-materials)
- Develop 80% work-instructions etc. + automate and delegate 80% them
- Become main supplier of premium brand in local region (develop partnership)
Why I haven’t achieved it so far:
1. Lack of know-how/discipline + wrong mindset + non-supportive team
2. Personal mental barrier (what next will make it hard to reach), feel insecure within my own home-conditions.
3. Lack of focus, bad habits.
What’s different this time:
1. More skills
2. Better team + network, more supportive of income and organization goals.
3. More time and focus on total-company view, not only on execution of projects.
Why am I committed to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal this year?
1. Enough knowledge + experience to get started. I feel more secure.
2. If not now when?
3. Become ready for the next step(s).
Compelling why:
1. As a well-known, well-respected high-end installer of energy systems, we help our clients to become less dependent on power and gas supplies. And by making use of excellent products, we realize financial gains/less expenses in an ethical way and drive the market for top-quality products.
What might still stop you from achieving this goal in 2023:
1. Feeling insecure/guilty/afraid of consequences/overwhelmed
Plan for each one to stay in line:
1. Prioritize on organization, second on communication, third on delegation
How am I going to celebrate it – when I’ve achieved this goal:
1. Take 12 holy days 2023-2024 off for reflection, relaxation, inspiration. And have a detailed look-back on the year + preparation for the next. If we’ve reached the goals, this is the time to commit to or do a donation or contribution or investment of at least 2k in either art/craft or meditation practice or martial arts or mountaineering for the common good. This may also be helping an individual or family with a problem, possibly within the sector of energy but not necessarily.

6) THIS IS HOW I AM GOING TO CELEBRATE IT WHEN I’VE ACHIEVED MY GOAL
a) I am going to invite my whole family for a weekend stay at my landhouse. Together we are going to pick-nick in the garden, go subbing on the lake, go on a discovery trip around the house and ground and discuss all the possibilities the land house offers us and others during a lovely family weekend.
b) After that I am going send invite my neighbours over for a drink.
c) Eventually I am going to buy a deckchair which I’ve always wanted. But the fair of a sheepskin on it. Place a wooden table next to it. Place my favourite book, sunglasses and glass of a lovely alcohol-free mojito with ice cubes, slide of lime and a sustainable straw on it. Then I am going to sit myself on the chair. Close my eyes. Listen to the sound of the water and the birds. Smell the grass, threes and flowers and disappear into smoothing thoughts for a long period with a deep sense of happiness and fulfilment knowing I am realizing my life’s mission.
No dreams will stand next to my death bed when time comes, asking me why I did not create them, when they where giving to me, knowing I had the capacity to make them come true.

Making my life dream come true will be the key to serene happiness for me. It will enable me to reach the end of my life without fear that the dreams (visions) given to me at birth will be standing next to my death bed when time comes, asking me why I did not make them happen, when they where giving to me, knowing I had the capacity to make them come true.

6. THESE ARE THE THREE LESSONS I’VE LEARNED IN LIFE
1) All limitations are mind made. Open my mind, put the critical voice to rest, and create without any thoughts of what is and what is not possible. Don’t let anyone tell you what can and cannot be done. They too are influenced by their frame of reference and upbringing.
2) If I can dream it I can make it. Everything is possible if I put my mind to it.
3) We are not given more than we can handle. I’ll turn my scares into stars.

1.Important goal: I get my weight to 65-67 kilo by the summer holidays latest, and keep it.
2.why I haven’t reached it do far?
I have reached it twice, but couldn’t hold it and keep it low.
Due to excuses, wintertime, cold outside, comfort food, little depressing feelings once in a while about what’s going on in the world, my excuse that I love food, eating a bourgondic life.
And even maybe a conviction that all nice food makes you fat.
Even I know it isn’t , but that are old persistent programs once in a while.
3. What is different this time?
This time I’m better prepared, good foodsystem in the house, healthy snacks and a way of feeling excited to reach my goal. I see myself already with a dashing bikini at the beach 😃
I have someone to show off in a sexy bikini
4. What could or is stopping me from achieving this goal?
Tiredness, exhaustion
Due to excuses, wintertime, cold outside, comfort food, little depressing feelings once in a while about what’s going on in the world, my excuse that I love food, eating .
And even maybe a conviction that all nice food makes you fat.
5. How to stay in line?
Keep myself focused and motivated works, by rewarding little goals in between.
Break it down , to 1 kilo a week or something like that. Get group support, by colleagues , friends , etc.
6. How celebrate when achieved?:
I by myself a nice sexy outfit, that I love to wear, and show off. Bikini at the beach, sexy dress
7. List of 3 life lessons:
Accept the things I cannot change, and have courage to change the things I can.
Love yourself / myself first , I am worth it.
( the rest will follow)
Money is time, time is money.
A healthy lifestyle feels so much better. Take enough breaks from work, and spare time to relax.
I do not have to do everything by myself. Find people who are better
Three gifts

1 My most important goal:
This year, 2023, to sell the last part of my business, a big dental practice, to the venture capitalist who also bought my first 87,5 procent.
2. Why I have not achieved it.
At this moment the firm did not react on my letter of resignation 17 December 2022 to be a good leaver and be leaving as a minority share holder.
I sold my practice in 2017. It was my mistake to hold a minority part of the practice. Year by year the practice gets, in my eyes, worse and worse . I
try to stop the process of deteriorating.
The practice was my child.
I put my heart my money and my dreams in the practice. The venture capitalists only put their money in. I have the sleepless nights. They make jokes
about the silly dentists.
I worked as a shareholder with no influence.
My most important point of procrastination is that I am a pleaser. When I am angry I usually start the fight but in the end I will loose my fighting spirit
and become reasonable. I need to be at this moment “the terminator”.
Limiting believes.
-When I sell , I have the believe that I loose my significance.
Not the big man any more.
-I can not protect the team (this is a lie, at this moment I can not stand for the team. I have a hidden agenda as a shareholder.)
-Contribution. Do not serve my patients anymore. (Is a lie , I can work as a zzp-er if I want.
3. Everything that might still stop you from achieving this goal in 2023
There is no way back. I have made the decision to sell. No excuses anymore to annoy the family with my victim role.
In the contract there is a put option for the money. So the money will be in he most worst outcome 1/3 of the original money.
I have made the decision and have already my team of fiscalists and myself ready to start the negotiations.
-
4. Everything that might still stop you from achieving this goal in 2023
They come with an offer I can not resist to stay as a minority share holder because the company wil go for an IPO (beursgang).
And for sure I will choose for my health. I will quit.
5. Come up with a plan – what will you do to keep staying in line.
I only have one goal for 2023. Start with the end in mind. Most important goal is to choose for the health of myself and my family . I will not be
anymore a victim of the circumstances . I will be the the right guy for my wife, a warrior who will protect her. The decision maker is back.
I have to accept that the CEO can now be a good guy during the negotiations and is good in window-dressing ( he is not) and next year there will be another new CEO . And all starts over again.
6. How are you going to celebrate it ,when you’ve achieved this goal?
Celebration time. Every month a week off. And 2 months in summertime.
I planned already till September and have booked most of the weeks. I ll go to our house on the beach in France, Fort Lauderdale(USA) for myself , courses and skiing in Italy.
There is no way back.

One important goal I want to achieve in 2023 is to have an income of 30.000 euro a year
I haven’t achieved it so far because I think I need to finish some studies I’m doing at the moment first; I don’t have time because I’m mother of 3 kids; I don’t have the right connections; I need first to enlarge my network; I need first to know how to run a business and that entrepreneurs don’t need my service.
The difference this time is that I know I’m able to do it even though I don’t have the “right” skills, knowledge or network yet. I would also love to be a good example for my children in how to achieve your goals and specially for my daughter in how to be financially independent.
What might still stop me from achieving this goal in 2023:
- I need to finish my studies first -> make a plan to do both at the same time
- No time because of family -> make extra time by waking up earlier, ask for baby sitter if needed, take extra time in the weekends, find ways to delegate and ask for help
- Not “right” network -> make a specific image of my ideal clients and find a way to get into that network
When I’ve achieved this goal I’m going to celebrate it by travelling with my children and husband to Ecuador.

LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENT BOX BELOW – ONE IMPORTANT GOAL YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE IN 2023.
In 2023 I will pay off my debts (€10.000,-) and make €10.000,- profit.
LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENT BOX BELOW – WHY HAVEN’T YOU ACHIEVED IT SO FAR.
- Lack of knowledge: I made many mistakes (for example asking too low prices) and I had no real insight in my finances (my fixed costs were too high)
- Lack of experience (for example in marketing) - which resulted in low self-confidence - which resulted in procrastination
- Negative belief in myself, feelings of guilt and fear
- Grief, which cost me a lot of energy and time
- I had a health problem and didn’t know how to handle/stabilize it
LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENT BOX BELOW – WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME?
At the end of 2022 it became very clear to me: I won many battles in the past 8 years and now, finally, I’m ready to direct my view to the outside world.
Last years I worked very hard and goal-oriented on the subjects mentioned above. I had professional help for issues in both my business and my private life. Found ways to deal with problems that don’t go away by themselves. I learned helpful strategies that I apply in my daily life. I cut my fixed costs for my business to only €200,- a month.
WHY ARE YOU COMMITTED TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO ACHIEVE THAT GOAL THIS YEAR?
Achieving that goal this year means I will set myself free (financially, but also creatively) so I can focus on fulfilling my potential. To the benefit of myself, my family, (future) clients and people who could use some inspiration and comfort.
My financial issues undermined my self-esteem and the financial security of me and my partner for so many years. I’m done with it and I’m ready to make a change.
LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENT BOX BELOW EVERYTHING THAT MIGHT STILL STOP YOU FROM ACHIEVING THIS GOAL IN 2023…
I could lose my focus.
--> Set goals. Cut them up in smaller goals. Do a weekly self-evaluation. Evaluate with my mentor every month. Find a buddy/sparring partner. Celebrate the achieved goals. Keep track of my revenue, costs and debts on the whiteboard in my office.
It’s more difficult than expected to find new clients or I lose clients (recession).
--> Be critical, be creative, take time to brainstorm (Idea Generator) and adjust my plans. Work ON my business daily (keep planning time for it!). Read the newspaper, stay up to date of things happening in my business and the world.
My success is too big, I can’t handle the production anymore.
--> Start outsourcing next week: find people who can help with different activities. Make people WANT to help in my business. Do research on possible local production facilities.
I waste too much time on stupid but necessary activities in my business.
--> Learn better planning. Implement the things I learned about working more efficiently. Automate boring repetitive activities.
I’m not living so healthy and balanced as I should be, which could result in a setback.
--> Use my signaling plan and anticipate early. Avoid stress.
I could get an unfortunate accident, illness or lose someone I love.
--> Take care of myself and my loved ones. Don’t take stupid risks. Don’t be afraid to say ‘no’ and take time for myself if necessary.
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO CELEBRATE IT?
1. When I payed off my debts: I’ll invite a couple of close friends for dinner at my home.
2. After making €10.000,- profit, I’ll take my man on a short (motorbike) vacation somewhere in Europe.

5. THIS IS MY PLAN OF APPROACH FOR MY 4 CHALLENGES LISTED IN #4 TO MAKE SURE I STAY IN LINE AND ACHIEVE MY GOAL FOR THIS YEAR.
1. Possible Challenge
The value of my house is far below the price I’ve paid for it 20 years ago which would make it ridiculous to sell at this moment.
1a. Plan of Approach
In that case I will set my house up for rental to secure my income and rent a place in Denmark matching my plans. Depending on the (financial) reason for putting their house up for sell, I might even try to make a deal with the house owners of one of the houses I’m interested in to rent me their house until the housing market stabilizes.
In the meantime I will make sure my own house as a better energy label and create more bathrooms, making it more attractive to buy as less investment is required by the new buyers. Eventually it might not be seller’s market but if my house is attractive enough, the market trend is no longer important. My house will be sold at a good price.
2. Possible Challenge
The state of the houses I am looking at needs so much work to be safe to live in or energy wise, that it does not match my present budget.
2a. Plan of Approach
I will ask my cousin’s wife to check the quality of the house and give a security estimate as well as a pricing estimate for restauration. If it is agreeable to my budget set out in time and safe to live in, I will go for it.
If not, I will inform my estate agent of my requirements and I will trust she will come up with exactly the right house for me.
Time and experience have taught me that it is all about the right ingredients dreams, imagination, visualisation, planting of seeds, patience and faith. All of the ingredients which is necessary to fulfil our dreams. And all ingredients which I have learned to appreciate and skills I’ve developed over the last 50 years.
3. Possible Challenge
The municipality in which my new house is situated does not permit (Air)B&B rental.
3a. Plan of Approach
a) I will set up a meeting with the right person at the town hall to look for a win- win situation enabling me to realize my dream and establish the source of income I have in mind. I am sure we they will be taken aback of my tactic and they will be charmed by my suggestions and allow me to pursue.
b) If they still do not agree I will investigate various possibilities and opportunities within the boundaries the municipality set. Also here I am sure I will be creative enough to find a great solution if I love the place enough.
c) I will look for and find a municipality and a house matching my dreams. I am sure that if this scenario’s is applicable, I will find the most beautiful place and create the best win-win situation ever.
4. Possible Challenge
The municipality in which my new house is situated does not permit the events I am planning to hold or the business I want to develop.
4a. Plan of Approach
My plan of approach in this case, matches my plan for # 3 with d) as a new addition.
a) I will set up a meeting with the right person at the town hall to look for a win- win situation enabling me to realize my dream and establish the source of income I have in mind. I am sure we they will be taken aback of my tactic and they will be charmed by my suggestions and allow me to pursue.

c) I will look for and find a municipality and a house matching my dreams. I am sure that if this scenario’s is applicable, I will find the most beautiful place and create the best win-win situation ever.
d) I will offer the municipality to hold some of their events in my garden or fields. I already have some ideas which events and how to implement them. Also I will offer to open my garden for the citizens of the municipality for events facilitating the community in line with my vision for HappyVillages.

4. These are the things that might still stop me from achieving my goal in 2023
To be honest I find myself at such a good place at the moment that the only four things which I can think of are
1) The value of my house is far below the price I’ve paid for it 20 years ago which would make it ridiculous to sell at this moment.
2) The state of the houses I am looking at needs so much work to be safe to live in or energy wise, that it does not match my present budget.
3) The municipality in which my new house is situated does not permit (Air)B&B rental.
4) The municipality in which my new house is situated does not permit the events I am planning to hold or the business I want to develop.
For the rest I feel in my whole body that I’ve already mentally started to pack my things. I already have my whole implementation plan ready in my head with all the practical steps to be taken. Mentally I’ve already planned my first meet & greet party for my new neighbours at my new house 😊

3. THIS IS WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME
Working consciously on my business this past year with Nisandeh and Vered during the W.O.M.B. programme, conscious entrepreneurs and the personal coaching by Vered have brought a fundamental change to the way I think.
Time and time again I remind myself that boundaries and limitations are tricks of the mind and has nothing to do with reality. Everything is possible once we put our mind to it. The ingredients are imagination and dreams, planting of our seeds, patience and faith.
Working in my business on a daily basis based on targeted assignments together with like-minded people guided by a mentor with so much experience who has walked to the talk I find to be so unbelievable powerful.
The assignments have made break through so many walls of limitations which I did not believe possible.
Looking at the result I am so very grateful for everything which I have created and learned from Nisandeh and the community. I do miss our daily contacts and assignments.
Everyday I write down all the things I am grateful for and every week I celebrate my achievements of the week. Once a week I reflect with my buddies Nanda and Manny on the goals we’ve set for this year.
And twice I’ve participated in the evaluation and planning sessions guided by Yildiz van der Zijden. She just rocks. She creates templates for us to use during the 3 hours session and Gerdy guard the time during our individual assignments. At the end of the sessions we all have our reflection plan of the past year/quarter/week and the planning of the coming 3 months.
All these mastermind groups I find to be very important to my entrepreneurial creation energy. I love being part of a community of clever minds which stretches me to grow beyond my own limits.

6. How I am going to celebrate when reaching the goal in 2023? Throwing a rousing party in our garden with all the music and so on; sharing with friends and family how beautiful life can be.

One important goal for 2023.
Have 150.000€ turnover
Why have I not achieved it?
- No clear focus
- Distractions (both relevant like a new born daughter and irrelevant, like gaming or answering the phone)
- I just started this business (previous business did beyond this turnover)
- The clients don't get it
- I am lazy in inviting people
What is different this time?
- I am starting the year with a clear plan and clients who want to work with me
- I am developing new products together with my clients. I make sure they want to buy before I offer it.
- It is all one big adventure, so let's go and enjoy!
What might stop me? + plan to stay in line
- people close by who die * have clear goals and a support system of like minded people.
- we decide it's time to travel the world * Travel and work. Or have focused times where I just earn the money in half the time.
- suddenly there is another baby coming * More day care for the current one. Get support in the family and friends.
- a war starts * Change my business to something we need then
- my work is no longer relevant because of an AI breakthrough *Embrace the tech and become a pioneer with it
- I do not choose * Recognise the stagnation and ask myself to go change
- I do not deliver on my promises and lose clients * underdeliver, overpromise. Repeat my delivery to them. Check along the way we are all happy.
- listening to the complaining smaller clients and forgetting the big ones * Check if I am on course for my goal or correct.
- focussing on 10 € problems instead of € 1000 or more problems * Check if I am on course for my goal or correct.
- deciding life is easier when I am not working * Enjoy it as a break and then come back with double the motivation
How will I celebrate?
I am seriously considering to take a trip to space with my dad.
I will get the most luxurious desk and chair I can imagine.
I will take Anouk to a series of restaurants with Michelin stars.

1. My goal for this year: a running business with personal entrepreneurship for at least half time and half entrepreneurial income: i.e. 30 k. Euros. At the same time winding down with half of my salaried employment.
2. Why I did not achieve it till now: excuses I can think of are laziness and lack of discipline, but I know those are not the real obstacles. They are the fears: 1. not making enough money 2. not being successful 3. fear of not having enough time 4. losing track of my life 5. starting to feel guilty toward my wife and children
3. What is different in 2023? I have a better idea of the real drive: being allowed to help people experience a wonderful relaxing, surprising time in their lives. I have the enthusiasm and inspiration that I get more and more often as I go about our business. I've also figured out that fear is not a good indicator: if dreams don't scare you, then your dreams are too small!
4. What might still stop me? Not sure how to tackle the next step. Fear of not making enough money. Putting up with procrastinating and being nonchalant about the need to take action.
5. How to stay in line? I get together with my wife to check the schedule we have, we hold each other accountable by discussing progress daily. In addition, we are going to train our mindset: i.e., we always start from a positive mindset: of course things have to give way if you are going to do what it loves most or if you are going to follow your dreams. And if a negative thought comes up: then we will look for the need behind it. I realize that everything I said I wanted later, I want right now! There is no time to procrastinate anymore.

One important goal you want to achieve in 2023: I want inner peace in order to have space to create and to follow the energy flow. Not driven by financial pressure, but by intrinsic motivation, passion and soul mission.
Why haven’t you achieved it so far? In recent years I have worked very hard to grow my business exponentially. I passed myself. I wrote and published three books a year and also ran the entire organization of my company. It was way too much. I felt a constant rush because the company was not making enough profit and the invoices kept piling up. Now I'm in debt and I don't want to work this way anymore. I want to have the peace to be able to write. I have removed almost all the unrest, only the creditors are left. I am now working on an incredibly fun project with enormous potential. I want to put my energy into that and it gives me energy. I want success and money to follow naturally by doing what I really want to do. Follow my heart. I've had way too little time for that in recent years. I lived for my business instead of the other way around.
What is different this time? Why am I giving it to myself now? I found out that I am the most important person in the world to myself. This is my life and I want to live it my way. I want to enjoy. Both from leisure time and from work. I have come to appreciate and love myself. As a result, I can no longer cross my limits, as I did before. My company automatically changes as a result. So I am committed to myself from now on.
Let me know everything that might still stop you from achieving this goal in 2023. The financial pressure can cause me to make choices that deviate from my goal.
Come up with a plan – what will you do to keep staying in line. I want to make choices that contribute to quality time. To inner peace. To fun. To enjoy. For a new project I am writing two books (this year). I'm already writing those. A novel and a non-fiction book about personal transformation. A publisher will publish the books, I’ll only have to focus on the writing itself and there will be peace. How are you going to celebrate it – when you’ve achieved this goal? I will get on a plane with my children and head to Ibiza to have a picnic in the most beautiful place on the island and celebrate that I have reached my goal. And then I'll continue to work in peace on the two most beautiful (and bestselling) books I've written so far. Because writing is what I love to do most.

1. What is an important goal that I want to achieve in 2023? At the end of 2023, I will set up a Dutch association for civil servants with a wonderful opening conference and ditto party. Civil servants become members of this association (IAmbtenaar) who meet other like-minded civil servants. These people think it serves democracy (of residents) and therefore also public administration. Above all, they are proud of their profession, content and craftsmanship are important, as is being reliable again. This association is a wonderful platform to follow people in their professional development from professional to manager and from successful manager to conscious public leader. And offer my trainingprograms for professionals, successful government managers and directors/citymanagers.
2. Why haven't you achieved it until now? I've never really dared to think/dream so big. Nor did I make time for it. Not being able to earn money right away or being able to acquire a working income also held me back. From my upbringing, having a lot of ambition and making a lot for each other, or achieving something great was not obvious. I also received the fear from my parents that you can get overwrought from the tension and stress. "If you are born on a dime, you will never be a quarter." In retrospect it was a combination of a low and middle class family. By studying and making a career, I have also detached myself from that background while also being proud of it.
3. What's different this time? It's different this time because by following and implementing many of the Open Circles Academy classes and recently the Working ON my business program, I know how I want to go about it. I also have the network and I can organize a team of volunteers and sponsors around me. Moreover, I believe that civil servants are ready to work collectively towards a better world and to serve the resident and society based on their craftsmanship. This creates more meaning and they give more meaning to themselves and the world around them.
4. What else could prevent me from reaching this goal in 2023? When I am tempted not to work full time on this from the second quarter. When I allow myself to be influenced by adversity or negative reactions. When I am not physically fit enough. When I am not generating enough resources to start.
5. What am I going to do to stay in line? In the WOMB program I have created a clear plan not to work as an interim director in Q2, but to free up time for this ambition: to set up an association for civil servants. Do reflect a lot (quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily), but divide criticism into good, bad and ugly. I look at the good criticism to see if I find it useful. I leave the rest. Ensure a fit, healthy and strong body. A healthy mind reigns in a healthy body. I also have a plan for this. The investment for the establishment of the association is not only in money, but also in time.
6. How am I going to celebrate? After the congress I will go to a distant destination for a few weeks with my wife

6. I will celebrate it together with my two daughters. Will take them for a long weekend to Tuscany or Rome.

5. I have the plan. I have a daily schedule and checklist on what to do, when to drink, to eat my supplements, to not drink coffee after 2 PM etc. It is easy to do. The point is, it is even easier not to do. I don’t buy wine, chips or sweets to prevent myself from eating late in the evening. But I’ll find something else to eat anyway. What is my subconscious believe that has to be changed, that will lead to other behavior.

One important goal you want to achieve in 2023.
A good work-life balance in 2023
Why haven’t you achieved it so far.
I have focused on serving my clients and have lost track of what I need to spend more time for myself, and with family and friends. While working is a good thing, it should not impact too much the other areas in your life, like a good health and your private life.
What is different this time?
What is different now is that I realize that I lost the balance. Before, I thought I had this under “control”. But now I see that is not the case any longer, so I need to do something about it. So my compelling why is my family and friends, they have been on the “backburner” for too long now, and I am committed to give them more attention.
What might stop me to achieve it is that I might fall back in old behaviors. Being too busy, giving priority to work. Using my time wrong. Focusing on other things. Not planning it well. If there would come a new situation with social distancing.
My plan to make it work: reserving regular days off and weekends in my agenda. Making appointments with friends and family and putting them in my agenda. Planning meals to enjoy together with friends and family. Go for a walk with a buddy 3 days per week. That is sociable and good exercise at the same time!
I will celebrate this by: going on a trip abroad with my husband.

4. What might stop me from achieving this goal in 2023 is: Only myself. When subconscious deep inside being convinced that I’m not worth taking care for. What results in not being consequent, postponing, not resisting the temptations of unhealthy and too much eating. Not resisting the instant gratification of coffee over water. Emotional eating, eating (craving) late at night.

1 Writing a book to round off my working life
2 Many distractions. Other fun things to do, e.g. writing/composing music. Book might be nice to have; real necessity is lacking.
3 I give myself a deadline to finish
4 Other priorities like traveling and making music. I won't use it as a business tool since I stopt working. And see #2. Health.
5 Strict daily schedule: writing from 9:30am-11:00am. Record audio and have it typed out and then edit it myself. I am accountable to my buddy every two weeks.
6 Let me finish it first. I'll see how I celebrate that. It depends on how I feel about it by then.

one important goal you want to achieve in 2023.
A solid business that generates 100k profit
Why not
- Fear of success and emasculating my husband
- Fear of conflict: not expressing in public what I truly think, writing vanilla post, being invisible in the market
- Confusion:
o I want money, but it feels now so lame, so primitive, so unenlightened
o I want to have social impact, but I feel so small and helpless
o I want to be authentic, but I don’t even know what side is up
- Huge life events: family deaths and complex childhood trauma healing
- Becoming a mother & early years of motherhood
- Confusing my business for my healing place
- Trying to sell what I thought they needed, instead of what they wanted to buy
What is different this time?
- Done with healing: I’ve buried my dead, including all those old versions of me that were afraid and confused
- My kids are older and independent
- I now know my man is powerful, no matter how successful I may become
- I’m committed to find a way to make money, have social impact AND be authentic at the same time
Why are you committed to do whatever it?
- Have a historical impact: to help people (customers, employees, suppliers…) thrive in this historical transition
- 2023 is a year of global transition and I feel this is true for me as well.
- I have achieved about everything in my life now it’s about money, control, independence, freedom.
- I’m the oldest generation: no-one is coming
All that might still stop you from achieving this goal in 2023…
- The social, political, financial situation
- Family/health issues
- Negative thought patterns
For each one of the points you wrote in the last question – come up with a plan – what will you do to keep staying in line.
- Social, political, financial situation: Be aware, detached and adapt
- Family/health issues: continue my exercise and fasting
- Negative thought patterns: daily journaling, buddy system, review previous success
How are you going to celebrate when you’ve achieved this goal?
I’m going to go on holiday with my family to the Azores
3 life lessons you learned in your life
- Family can be built beyond your own blood relatives
- Live immediately
- You are your best healer
- You are NOT your past. You are who you are NOW.

3. I am committed to this goal because I believe that achieving other goals, both business and private, will start with better self care. It will bring me better health, condition and more energy both physical and mentally, to work on other goals and relationships. And to experience live less heavy. I’m turning 47 next month and I want to be the happy, energetic, loving and caring father to my two daughters for the next half of my life. That’s my compelling why.

2. I think I haven’t achieved it so far because of a negative belief of myself. e.g. I’ve bought expensive vitamins and supplements; why don’t take them every day? Its just seconds… I’ve bought fresh and organic food. Why ending up throwing them away and eat lesser food? Why don’t I make time for a daily walk, even when it’s small? Why do I care more for others than for myself? Why do I drink more coffee instead of water? Why does it seem impossible to persevere these tiny habits for myself?

1. My #1 goal for 2023 is: more self care. This includes: more sleep, more rest, more exercise, eating more healthy, at least 15 kg weight loss, drink more water and less coffee and have a better balance between work, my kids, relationships and me time.

2. THIS IS WHY I HAVEN’T ACHIEVED IT SO FAR
a) I was too afraid to let go of the country of my children, my friends, the safety of my house, my job etc.
b) I’ve let the needs of my children prevail over my own wishes.
Since I’ve been gifted with my children, they have always been the most important to me. I’ve mentioned earlier that I wished to move back to DK. It
broke their heart. So I rented an apartment instead. But I have always felt as if I was split in two.
c) Due to a lack of confidence I did not believe I could make it in complete new surroundings.
d) I was busy creating financial freedom and a source of income enabling me to pursue my dream of a HappyHome / HappyVillage.
e) I was dating Dutch boyfriends who did not share my dreams and who were homebound (nothing wrong with that. It just prevented me from
following my dream).
f) I was not good at being alone. I’ve desperately needed friends and family close by to feel loved and appreciated.

You ARE loved and appreciated. It takes courage to choose your own path although your children wish something different for themselves. You HAVE the courage. And when you feel you’re ready, you will fly.

I do love and appreciate your support so much Manny. Thank you for being my wingman. This year we will both breakthrough our barriers of fixed minds. Many beautiful and exiting things are going to happend this year. And I am so much looking forward to our retraite at your place in Portugal May this year.

g) I have allowed by agena to grow so full during the day, evening and week-ends that I had no room to listen to my inner voice of wisdom. I was so busy running to prove myself that I almost lost myself.
h) My stepfather, who had managed very well all his life, always told me never to give up on my house.

1. This is my one important goal which I want to achieve in 2023.
I want to buy a house with 5-7 bedrooms with a big piece of land. A place where people can stay for a shorter or longer period. A place for
a) My HappyHome
b) The start of my HappyVillage / HappyHome community .
c) Bed&Breakfast
d) Special events (e.g. outdoor yoga, philosophy weekends, friendsgiving etc.)
e) Special stays for people seeking a likeminded community
f) Family reunions
g) Workshops (redefining and furbishing caravans)
h) Long-terms stays
i) Community breakfast, lunch and/or dining
j) Natural camping
k) ….
This goal will require me to breakthrough my barriers of fear of letting go of the known at the same time as I long to take the giant step into the unknown and thereby stepping far out of my comfort zone.
The dream is within reach. I have found a number of places matching my dream. In order to achieve it I need to move to move back home to DK. To one of our islands – Fyn - 2 hours drive from my family. It is a beautiful island with a rich history. Depending on which house I chose I need to sell my house in the Netherlands, leaving a beautiful house and the known behind. Which is not quite true as I still got a chalet in the Netherlands.
Last Saturday when I came across these houses on a special site, I all of the sudden realized that I actually have everything it takes to realize my dream I just need to get into action.
In the meantime I have taken a number of steps already:
1) I have contacted the bank in Denmark to inquire about the loan I need to bridge the difference.
2) I have contacted the estate agent in Denmark and inquired about the sales documents
3) I will ask my cousin (she is a building constructor) to check the sales documents for special points of attention.
4) I will invite 3 estate agents to come up with their best offer.
5) I have checked the impact of my decision with one of my children. Still need to check it with my oldest daughter. Last time I asked her, her answer has kept me here till now.
6) I will re-activate my Danish citizenship.
7) I will end my rental contract in DK (I now rent an apartment)
8) I will put my house up for sell
9) I will purchase my new house
10) I will start preparing for my move
11) …

Oh WOW ! This is so exciting to read, Marie-Louise! To me, this doesn’t seem to be a dream anymore: this is an actual plan, with clear steps of which the first are taken. I am so happy for you and so proud of you! I support you all the way and am looking forward to seeing you in Amsterdam! What can I do to help?

Oh dear Manny I do love your support and enthousiasme on my behalf. Our weekly buddy call last Friday eliminated old thinking patterns (fixed mind) and released new thoughts (growth mindset) which created so much room for creative thoughts and solutions.

You are already helping me by supporting me in this manner. Furthermore I do love our weekly moment of reflection. I'll share the photo's of the places I am looking at. I have already booked a visit to one of the places this coming Sunday. I love to hear your and Nanda's opinion on the different houses and to discus the various possibilities with you regarding each of the houses.

1. To earn € 200 K with our SAAS solution by the end of this year, to make it a sellable business.
2. I flee in development, first improve this, then improve that and then I will start marketing and selling, this went on for years and years
3. This time it's make or break, but I find it hard to accept that my SAAS is not a success.
We have had 7 meager years, now the fat years will come.
All successful entrepreneurs share one thing: they never gave up. Still less than 1% is successful, the rest was too early, too late, did not solve a real problem, was disrupted before it could become successful or ran out of luck..
I believe that my SAAS is a solution which makes lives (a little) easier for entrepreneurs and it is a big part of my legacy
Why: I have to focus on one of the most important issues: fight global warming. My business gives me an excuse not to focus on climate change.
4.Comfort zone, lame excuses, trying to solve all issues myself.
5.Be willing to invest money: Hire smart marketeers and use the powers of online marketing and seo.
6.Take my family to Japan for a holiday: (okay that is not very sustainable, but that’s one of my bucket list)
Start investing in projects to prevent Global Warming

One important goal I want to achieve in 2023.
In 2023 I want to get my focus back at myself. Both in my business (finally claiming that expert role in my field of work) and in personal life (get in shape again by losing 12 kg).
why haven’t I achieved it so far.
I have been procrastinating for a long time. First because I thought I wasn’t ready yet, and then life happened: divorce, new girlfriend with kids, building a house, selling the family company, helping my parents to start enjoying their pension… al this was very useful for my life (I’m much happier than 5 years ago), but it distracted me from my professional goal and I gained a lot of weight along the way. Now both my physical form and my mind are out of shape and require attention.
what is different this time?
Since all the distractions are fixed (for now 😉 I can finally start focusing on myself. Also, I have to make a move:
-professionaly a lot is happening, and if I want to be seen, I have to stick my head out
-at the age of 45 it is important to act on health, as family tradition has pointed out in the past
So, if I want to stay relevant, first I have to be noticed and be able (i.e. stay healthy) to hold on to that position for a while.
everything that might still stop me from achieving this goal in 2023:
-There are stil people close to me who have to be saved. And of course I’m the only one who can help them…
-My field of work is changing, maybe I’m not in this business by the end of the year. Then again, this is both a showstopper or an extremely actual reason to act
-I still deserve some me-time because of all the things that happened the last few years (that's what my inner chid says). This me-time is always presenting itself when I’m finally ready to do some relevant stuff, so I’m my own greatest distractor.
what will I do to keep staying in line.:
-I learned to say ‘no’ and intent on keep on saying that to all those people who could benefit from my attention, as long as it is not life threatening
-I have to take control of the developments in my working field. By presenting myself as the expert, I may be able to influence the developments and strengthen the role my clients need me to play.
-work-life balance needs attention, so I start this year with a more structured day-2-day schedule. Apple apps help me with this by means of a sleeping schedule, to do lists and a workflow tool. Al apps, so I need some discipline as well, and that is where my focus begins.
how am I going to celebrate it?
Once I have reached new stability in my line of work, and know what my role is in the coming 5 years, I treat myself to that home cinema set i’ve been eyeing for a long time. But only if my weight has been reduced by at least 10%
looking forward to the workshop, and very curious to hear your story.
regards,
Maurice

1. One important goal
I once again used the idea generator for this assignment.
1. Youtube channel, answering the most frequently asked questions about the role of the Product Owner (from which the expert book will eventually be compiled)
2. Expert book
3. Successful Product Owner Guild
4. Running early bird version of Product Owner Experience
5. 2nd edition of our set of cards sold
6. > 1000 copies of the book Super Product Owner sold
7. Have spoken at 2 conferences (together with Bas)
8. 4 meetings of the Scrum Gilde Amersfoort
9. 4 new customers, i.e. old & "forgotten" customers who become my/us customer again
10. Provide a minimum of 5 free workshops on PO frustrations with the irresistible offer of the Product Owner Experience
more personal goals
11. Don't get overtired or burned out
12. Lose at least 20 pounds
In the end, of course, I have to choose one goal that is most important to me this year. That is the goal that is already at the top: the Youtube channel & Expert book.
2. Why haven’t you achieved it so far?
- Time
- Uncertainty, I don't feel sure enough. Guess I can't give the right answers to the questions. This may cause me to lose my current expert position
- Other priorities, I don't take enough time to seriously experiment with it
- Despite the fact that I think it would be fun to make videos, I see it as a mountain. This is why I put it off every time.
3. What is different this time?
For our business to be successful, it is important to have an expert position. We want to achieve this with a PO Guild, among other things. As part of this, we think a Youtube channel will work well. I am now more determined than ever to make this happen.
4. What will still stop you from achieving this goal?
- Giving too little priority and therefore time to this goal
- Keep procrastinating
- New ideas that seem better
- Not sure if I can do it
5. Come up with a plan
In the last weeks of the WOMB we have been more and more busy to get focus. During one of the assignments I formulated 4 focus areas for this year. One of them is the Youtube channel / Expert book. So at least it's a priority.
To prevent me from procrastinating again or starting to doubt my own abilities, I'm going to ask more for feedback. Together with Bas I want to formulate and develop a number of questions in order to develop a good format (template).
I will also submit the first five videos to him and possibly another PO to assess.
6. Celebration
The goal for 2023 is to start the channel at all and eventually get 250 subscribers.
I would like to split the celebration into 3 successes:
1. People can ask their questions and find an answer to their question on our Youtube channel, i.e. the channel has started.
Celebrating: a good dinner with Bas
2. There are 100 subscribers who regularly search for an answer on our channel.
Celebrate: a relax and retreat week just for me in South Limburg
3. 250 subscribers
Celebrate: Holiday with the family on a boat in Friesland

1. One important goal you want to achieve in 2023.
Proof of Concept Project liforcengine contracted.
2. Why I haven’t achieved it so far.
True: concept not worked out enough yet; still some Field Experts had to be found and their input developed; e-book and website first had to be finished; I also have my regular job to take care of.
Also true: fear and shame of being visible; rather in the comfort zone of the concept world than having it tested in the real world; often distracted and could work harder/have more focus.
3. What is different this time.
Field Experts group complete. Concept splendidly worked out and also much more readable. E-book and website well under way and ready end of the month.
Plus: I feel and act much more visible in a natural way and also much more able to concentrate and do what must be done.
4. Everything that might still stop me from achieving this goal in 2023…
a. Fear and shyness
b. Give up after first setbacks
c. Slowly losing momentum
d. Doing everything myself
e. Relying too much on others
5. What I will you do to keep staying in line.
a. Just do it. With help and backup (and a kick up my back) from the Core Team of 4 Field Experts that I have installed.
b. Assess, adjust & go on. Here again: the Core Team is specifically set up for this.
c. Assess where the energy (still) is and giving that extra attention and effort. Build up from there. Maybe find other partners.
d. Delegate. At the least to the Core Team, but also to the full Fellowship: regularly organize meetings in order to keep the Fellowship going.
e. Take my responsibility: liforcengine is AND stays my thing, because while I don’t own it, I do own the flow. Check every promise by others and check it in time to re-organize if the promise is not kept.
6. How I am to celebrate it – when I’ve achieved this goal.
This will be the first Milestone Event in the DoGood cycle of liforcengine itself. It will be a party for all the Fellowship and their kin (100+ people) in which also the first DoGood-cause by liforcengine will be revealed. Part of the revenues of the Proof of Concept project will go to that DG-cause.
I will mark this moment with the purchase of a specific moon phase watch.

1) Let me know in the comment box below – one important goal you want to achieve in 2023.
My goal is to become a thought leader in multilingual content - and be able to monetize it with training and consultancy. I want my approach “lean localization” (which leads to content/localization processes that are aligned with business goals and free from waste) to become the standard and I want to be known as the inventor of it. In- and outside of the translation industry.
In 2023 I want to prove this concept to be viable by, at the end of the year, having developed my training and sold it at least 6 times with 4 or 5 localization managers of different companies. I want to speak at at least 3 conferences, that should be a mix of localization conferences and marketing/product conferences. Additionally I want to have at least 4 clients where I do implementation of the concept - and I want to have a repeatable process to get to these clients - which are product and marketing managers.
Writing all this down makes me realize that I actually have one real goal for this year. And that is figuring out where I belong, where I’m most valuable. I want to be seen for the value I can bring. Putting my mind to the above goals will teach me what the answer to this is.
2) Let me know in the comment box below – why haven’t you achieved it so far.
I’ve been afraid to fail and afraid to be successful.
What if my brilliant ideas don’t work out? Am I anything more than my great ideas? And is that worth anything in the first place? Am I able to convey my message in a way that people can understand what I mean? Or are people just gonna look at me and think I'm
And what if they do? Is this what I really want to do, and will I be sucked in into something that will make me do stuff I really don't like and make me unhappy?
If I don’t have instant success I stop doing it. I’m so convinced that my ideas are so obviously brilliant that if people aren’t immediately buying my services I get really discouraged and start doubting everything about me. I’m not following my own path and I’m too dependent on the acknowledgement of others.
In spite of my successful projects, I do not really believe the value of my services for a bigger audience, and therefore am hesitant to express the value I bring in a way that resonates with my clients. At the same time, I’m over-confident that I’m the savior that everybody should hire instantly.
I don’t believe I can do this by myself. So I make myself dependent on other people.
And most of all: I’m doubting if this is really what I should be spending my time on.
3) Let me know in the comment box below – what is different this time?
I am done with not bringing any, or not enough, value to the world right now. I have so much to give and I’m giving so little. I am wasting my talents. I could make people happier and more successful and I’m not managing to do this. And I’m running out of money - and tired of being worried about this.
4) Let me know in the comment box below everything that might still stop you from achieving this goal in 2023…
- I am very hesitant if this is what I want to do, if it is what I should do. Is this industry even ready for me? Am I not wasting my talents? Isn’t there a much bigger thing for me out there? Is there any demand for this in the first place, even though they have this problem?
- It may be that the choice, the narrative I made is not the right one for my goals and that it does not resonate.
- I am struggling to define my perfect client and approach them in a scalable way. I am insecure on whether I have defined their problem - and whether they have a problem in the first place. I don’t know who potentially needs my services and I don't know how to get to them. I am not explaining my services well enough. And I get major headaches from trying.
- I might run out of money before revenues are coming in
5) For each one of the points you wrote in the last question – come up with a plan – what will you do to keep staying in line.
Share those plans in the comment box.
- This is a tricky one. I guess the best plan is to just do it this year, and not think. And then decide if it’s for me. I’m not ready to give up the idea of doing this, so I may just as well give it a real go. There’s a serious risk that I will give up if I’m not successful quickly enough, I don’t know how to prevent that from happening. I might need to hire a coach again to keep me on the right path.
- Try to sell my trainings as a priority, as it might lead to more knowledge for the consultancy product.
- Decide on my topic, which is lean localization. Write content and post it. Don’t get discouraged if the new target group isn’t responding immediately. They’ll get used to the ideas. Don’t forget who you’re talking to!!!
- Get my Lean Localization website up and running.
- Connect and engage with people without talking about my services. Focus on Product Managers, Localization managers, Marketing managers. Network, network, network. Try to keep it fun, be interested in people, like I am, forget sales.
- Budget carefully. Take a bit more money out of my savings before I need to change plans. Focus on selling trainings as it might be quicker. Don’t give up hope. Work diligently and know what to do.
6) Let me know in the comment box below – how are you going to celebrate it – when you’ve achieved this goal?
Make it big. Make it important. Make sure you’re actually going to do it.
I’ll take my boyfriend to New York
And/Or
Throwing a dancing or eating/drinking or musical party for everyone that I love and that has helped me achieve this goal

1. My most important goal of 2023 is to make a switch in my work. I have a feeling of 'plundering' through it all, and not making progress financially, but also not personally. I want to devote my life more to study and knowing more about the things I am doing right now. My goal will be reached when I have at least one day off for serious study, and I want to be connected to a university program in order to get my PhD.
2. In order to gain the money I need for my company (business-wise a kind of a legal status in which you have to make a certain amount of money to one able to continue) I have a lot of hours working in coaching children, one on one. That takes a lot of hours from my week. Besides that it asks a lot of administration because I work for the government. I am switching to teaching more, but already know this is not going to add to the amount of money I need. Another important reason is that I have always been thinking not being enough or interesting enough to be able to get my PhD. That is a pure mindset thing that I need to overcome. Third reason not starting is fright of failure. Besides that my surroundings keep telling me it is nothing for me to do a PhD.
3. What is different this time is that I have been dreaming so long for doing this. Last year I finished a study I thought I could never do. It was difficult, but I did it! There was time pressure, but I did it! And there is hunger for more study about the subject. So I want to do it! Besides that, I am getting older every year, and I don't want to feel sorry at the end of my life not having done what I really wanted. Besides above reasons, I really, really want to shine my light on giftedness in very young children, because they do not have the ability to talk for themselves. They do not have a voice. At this moment a lot of nonsense is told about them and by that, a lot of children are missed, not seen, overlooked. That hurts. I was that child (weerdo). I want to bring a (bit of a) solution to that, so my path wasn't just for nothing.
4. What is stopping me from my goal
-ME
-my own thoughts about me
-my EGO, wanting to be a 'grand lady' in bussiness
-time; time management
- fright of not finding anything interesting while studying
-my surroundings telling me it is nothing for me
But basically it is me not seeing a solution for the income side of the story
5.
First of all: get started. I already made a small beginning asking my contacts at the university if they are interested in research in this field. Answer was yes.
About ME: I started EMDR last year in order to get my thoughts about myself straight and push away everything that is stopping me form shining the way I want
About my EGO: that is the most difficult one, because I am always comparing myself to others, being afraid of them being 'more' (whatever that means) than they are, or achieving more goals than I do. My plan for that is sticking to myself, following a program of gratefulness. With this program I learn how to stay in my own life and not bothering myself with other peoples lives.
Time management: I do honestly not know yet. I am developing other kind of things making more money in less time (someone who is doing IQ tests in my company, using my network, for instance. I am planning on bringing down the number of children I coach in order to being able to do more teaching jobs for grownups. Something like that, but this might be my biggest problem.
Fright for not finding nothing: the truth about that is that I will only find out by doing it. So the plan is studying while working finding interesting things...
My surroundings: I am not telling them what to do, so I am going to tell them to trust me, living my life.
Solution in Schedule:
-daring to let go of what I think is necessary because I have also learned that wherever a door closes, another opens.
-Making a plan and sticking to it.
6.
First I have to set when the goal is achieved;
a) my goal is achieved when I have reached a schedule in which I have room to study, when I have set myself goals what I am going to research, and when a University or company hires me to do the research.
b) my goal has been achieved when my schedule is workable and stable
c) when my income is stable/growing
Celebrating: this is a very tricky one, because I always tend to look ahead, to all the work that still has to be don, to all the goals that have to be achieved.
By not setting a celebration goal, I just forget. You make me think about it, and by that I know how I will celebrate: I will by myself a beautiful piece of art when my goals are reached.
I already got a beautiful little statue as soon as I finished my study, and I appreciate it really every day! Next will be another statue or a painting, expression my work.
7. My life lessons
1) By listening to all the others I will never become who I really am. Becoming the most of me possible, I have to let go of letting others determine your life
2) Daring to live my life has been a real struggle, but more and more doing it, I become more and more happy
3) Most important: being with, working with, communicating with people is a lifebelt for me. It is my, breath, it is my heart, it is my soul.

6. How are you going to celebrate it – when you’ve achieved this goal?
I am going to book a professional photo session, to show myself (and the world) the 'new' radiating and healthy me.
The last time I had a photo session is almost 10 years ago. So it is special and if I pull this off (and I will) much deserved!

3. We need to reach the growth to make sure we have a viable business case.
4. Distraction ( e.g. by other companies), internal organization not in order, competitor starting.
5. Distraction: 1. make a weekly "to do plan" to make sure time is allocated correctly. 2. be closer to the operational team by meeting them more. 3. keep an eye on this, be more proactive in defending patent.
6. organize a party for the team

5. Come up with a plan – what will you do to keep staying in line.
1. Forgetting about diabetes
I need to remind myself that I have diabetes. It is so easy to forget that fact and automatically take that cookie you get with your tea when you are in a restaurant. It is important to be aware of what I eat. So no more mindless taking a sweet. Be aware of every step I take.
2. Acting as if I can eat everything
At the moment I eat what I like. I have to be more careful. As I said in the first comment, it is so important to be aware of what you are eating. It all starts with awareness.
3. Not being consequent
I have to focus on my health and be consequent about it. Not thinking that everything will be ok and that one day of slacking won't hurt.
4. I will start tomorrow (it is always tomorrow)
The first few days will be the most difficult. That will be the same if I start tomorrow. It is only postponing the inevitable. So stop the self-sabotaging thoughts and stop procrastinating. Correct yourself if you even think about starting tomorrow. The best day to begin is today.
5. I am too busy
Start every day with writing down the importance of leaving the sugar. I am busy, but not too busy to take care of my health. Meditate, even for a minute, three times a day, reminding myself to take the time to make a healthy lunch, breakfast and diner. Make it the evening before. Pick easy recipes. Do not make it any more complicated than necessary.
6. One sweet won't hurt (not taking it seriously enough)
Keep on reminding myself that every sweet is one sweet too much. If I slack, one sweet will become two sweets and so on. Not buy any sweets. Not accept any sweets when I am somewhere else. Avoid tempation.
7. Giving in to an off day
It is really easy to comfort myself with a sweet when I am feeling down. But I have to think about the consequences of giving in. Instead of comforting myself with a sweet I have to look for something else to give me a happier feeling. Not just a carrot or walking the dogs. It has to be a real alternative. I am going to find that alternative.
8. Not asking for help
I am not the only one with diabetes. It is time to ask for help. Maybe there are groups or I can form my own group. I do not have to do it myself. I will start by asking my practice nurse for help. The last year I was to optimistic and not completely honest. It is important to be honest to myself and honest to my practioner nurse.
And, most important. I have to measure every day, a couple of times a day to know my sugar levels. If I am confronted with them, I cannot do as if there is nothing wrong.

One important goal I want to achieve in 2023.:
I want to loos weight, at least 8 kilo`s.
I sabotage myself with snacking and not sporting. Even with my bad knee there are enough activities I can do to sport.
Why haven’t I achieved it so far:
As I got a knee operation wich went teribble wrong and the normal function almost is gone I have to rearange my way of moving, walking, sitting etc. I have to learn to developpe new skills with in the limmit of pain and no further harming.
What is different this time?
I want to become old but healty and there for I have to make sure my fysicaal body is in shape. Not only by me eating healthy but by also have more energie and power in my fysical system.
Everything that might still stop me from achieving this goal in 2023:
A hunger for suger, snacking, and skipping meals because I would be to buzzy with work
My plan do to keep staying in line:
Suger: replace it everywhere with stevia
Snacking: dont buy snacks or chance to healty snacks wich I can eat.
Skipping meals: Plan lunch time everday
When I have achieved this goal I will celebrate:
For me because of my care taking situation at home the big celebration is having at least 1 week in a 5 star hotel with nothing to do but just bet here and spoil myself with silence, massage, swimming and walking and sleeping.

3. What is different this time?
I know I can do it. I did it before. And I can feel that diabetes is taking its toll in my body. I NEED to do this, because it is a slow killer. Thing is, you do not die immediately and you can grow old with diabetes. However, the dangerous thing is, is that diabetes is an assassin. Slowly, it has its effect on your body. From your eyes and ears, to your nerves, your joints, your brains... When it is too late, it is irreparable. Now, I can still reverse some of the damage, unfortunately not everything. E.g. I lost the hearing in my right ear, my joints are aching every day, all the time. So that is a wake up call. If I keep on neglecting my diabetes the damage will be irreparable. I want to live a long and healthy life, so it is time. In my work I am a real go-getter. It is time I do the same for my health and keep up the good work. No more excuses and no more proscrastination.

Why haven’t you achieved it so far?
I did achieve it. I lost about 13 kilo's, which was really necessary and my sugar level was really good. I was about two kilo's away from my weight goal. I did this with a program. Thing is, after the program I found it difficult to keep up the regime. I have a sweet tooth, it makes me happy. Being in the program, together with people that were in the same boat as I am, was not only comforting, but it helped to persevere. And of course it helped that we were guided by professionals. I have even stopped making excuses. The past months I lived as if there was nothing wrong with me. Not watching my sugar levels or even measuring them. Always coming up with excuses like: I am under stress, or I cannot do it alone, or I feel depressed or it is not fair or, I feel fine, or I will start this monday, after the holidays, in the new year, I have so much on my plate, I cannot live without sugar, I get depressed without sugar, It is not fair. But most of all I feel resistance in every fiber of my body. I have several health issues, and living without sugar is going to take away an important source of happiness. It is just too much. Anyway, enough excuses.

Samen gaan we haar inwerken.

2023 will be the year of my personal break throughs. I have been thinking all week what break through to deal with in the training. I cannot choose, because for me they are equally important. However, today I made a choice, at last. I am going to choose for my health. So it will be a personal goal. Thing is, I have diabetes. Everything was pretty much under control but due to circumstances my sugar level is not good. And it has its effect on my general health. I have been procrastinating for the last couple of months and I need to break through my resistance. To be honest I still cannot accept that I have this desease and I need to face the facts. So I have to be more aware of self sabotizing habits and just start working on my health.

1.
One important goal I want to achieve in 2023 is that I want to optimise my health,
especially by optimizing my diet and movement AND inspire and help some people in my close circle to do the same (by making their own choices).
It's not a weight-issue, that is allready reduced with around eight kilo's in the last few weeks and that is enough.
We had (mild) corona finally after three years and no appetite for more than a week. So in fact we eliminated our eating and drinking habits and can start all over again.
In this assignment I will focus on eating and drinking habits.
2.
Why haven’t I achieved this goal so far?
(I think I have enough crucial knowledge about healthy eating for decennia); but:
I make aĺl kind of reasons not to stay in the healthy habit;
* because it takes time and effort to create new habits in an allready busy life;
* because it's easy to buy the food I long for;
* because I'm allready so busy, so I 'deserve' to make easier choices with food;
* because I work so hard so I 'deserve' to have tasty food;
* because in a household with 5, 4, 3 people it's challenging to respect everybodies taste and idears about healthy food;
* because it's challenging to stick to (new) eating habits while being in family, with friends, at work;
* I really think eating habits are addictive and therefore challenging to break through; for example about sugar; alcohol;
* because life is mild to my health untill now, it's very long time ago I have been ill, never had any big health issues;
3.
What is different this time?
* that we have been ill for two weeks now; in a world which gets more full of virusses etcetera and we grow older; I definitely want to protect our health in the most natural way and we cannot postpone to realise a strong plan and habits any longer; we want to realise an optimal natural health to live as long as healthy as possible, to be able to fullfill our dreams and goals in live;
* that, after not-eating for about a week or more, this is THE perfect moment to change habits, because old habits stopped and the body is kicked-off from f.e. alcohol, sugar, coffee etc.
* we only have one body in this live, I'm 58, my husband is 71, we want to make the maximum quality of the years we have ahead of us, maximum healthy and maximum energetic; much as possible independent from the regular health-system;
* my two daughters have found their own way in health and healthy food; but my son, who is 29 now, has to cope with severe tinnitus since several years, has an energyproblem and is very sensitive for food. He decided after corona that he wants to change his eating habits, for example stopping sugar, artificial food (he doesn't use alcohol or coffee). I want to support him in this as much as I can, because he urgently needs big changes in his health;
4.
What might still stop me from achieving this healthy-eating-goal in 2023?
* I won't allow anything to come in the way;
Biggest challenges are:
* I think I have to stop with drinking red wine and other alcohols for the rest of my life, I really cannot visualise that it's possible to f.e. only drink at parties or in weekends, so only possibility is to stop 100%:
=> so I will have to say no to alcohol, also in social situations where it is not 'accepted' because of social and cultural habits (oh my, we are invited for a Bulgarian wedding in september);
* in almost every group-eating-situation (family and work) I will have to be constantly alert about what I want and don't want to eat; I think I have to reach for 95% maximum healthy and 5% space for other choices;
* travelling needs extra preparation;
* also on normal days other style of eating has to become a habit which doesn't cost extra time and energy;
Answer on question 5 and 6 will follow mondaymorning. And I'm looking forward to do the other preparations & things to bring with me for next friday.

Hi Marielle,
Thanks for your reply.
I read your assignment and understand the food-issue is urgent for you (too).
Yes together we are strong. Please let me know how I&we could help to keep us&you alert. What do you need for that?
Offcourse white sugar is a no-go. But what about stevia, ahornsiroop, coconutflowersugar, manuka-honey?
See you on friday!
